Mayor Nolen Thanksgiving turkey distribution event was a resounding success, with 150 turkeys given away to families in need. The event was hosted at the Dozier Recreation Center on November 25. Residents lined up early to receive a turkey to go along with a delicious Thanksgiving meal. Volunteers were on hand to help distribute the turkeys and offer holiday greetings.

"We're committed to caring for Inkster’s residents," said Mayor Nolen. "The increased cost of food we are seeing across the nation is making it difficult for many families to put food on the table. We hope the turkey giveaway helped to ease the burden a little and allowed everyone to enjoy a happy Thanksgiving."
