Compost Collection Schedule
The City of Inkster Department of Public Services (DPS) will begin compost collection on April 6, 2026, continuing through December 2026.
Compost will be collected on your regular scheduled trash day.
Accepted Compost Materials
- Tree branches
- Shrubs
- Brush
- Grass clippings
- Leaves
🚫 Please Note: Plastic trash bags are NOT accepted.
Preparation Guidelines
- Tree branches and shrubs must be cut into bundles no longer than 4 feet
- Bundles must not exceed 50 pounds
