[ARCHIVED] SNOW EMERGENCY ALERT

SNOW-EMERGENCY-WEB_1280X720

January 24, 2023

Residents:

The City of Inkster will be declaring a Snow Emergency starting at 11 PM tonight, Tuesday, January 24, 2023, until further notice. This means that all vehicles, trash cans, and recycle bins must be removed from all city streets. Please place your trash and recycle bins above the curb.

If your vehicles are not removed, they will be ticketed and/or towed at the officer's discretion. By moving your vehicles off the street, it ensures that your street is cleared of the accumulated snow and will make them easier for you to drive on when it is safe to go out.

Below is the City of Inkster's Snow Removal Policy ...
The Department of Public Services will plow all streets during a Snow Emergency. A snow emergency is declared when 6 or more inches of snow has fallen on our surface. Under normal circumstances of snowfall (less than 6 Inches) we will only plow major roads and emergency routes, this Does Not include residential streets.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Inkster DPS at (313) 563-9774.
