[ARCHIVED] DTE Tree Trimming Inkster

Tree Trimming Power Outage

Greetings Residents,

DTE will be performing trimming and/or removal in your city.  Attached are maps of the areas where DTE will be working and have also attached a copy of the door cards we will be leaving residents.

City & Vacant Properties

DTE will be trimming and/or removing city-owned trees and brushes as needed to provide safe and reliable electric service.  We also will remove trees and brush on vacant lots. We will provide a list of addresses of where we will be removing trees on city properties and vacant lots so the Department of Public Services can send someone to pick up the wood once our assessment is complete.  If there is no address listed, we will provide directional notes from the nearest listed address. We do not have a set timeframe of when the work will be completed but I will be able to let you know when all of the work has been completed.

Privately Owned Properties

For privately owned properties, DTE will seek removal agreements from the owner(s) and emphasize that we will be leaving larger pieces of wood cut to firewood lengths on site.  We will also highlight our debris policy on the door cards we leave so that it stands out to the customers and verbally disclose our debris policy if we speak to a customer about removals.

Wayne County

For any Wayne County Parks such as Colonial Park, Inkster Park Greenway, etc., DTE will reach out to the county to discuss that work.
