Senior Services
Dear Friends,
Greetings to all on this beautiful day. Good things are planned for this month so please mark your calendar and make reservations to join us in our programs and events at the Dozier.
The Recreation Complex has many recreational programs for Seniors in our community. Inkster Commission on Aging has provided supportive services to the senior population of Inkster since 1972. Services provided enable citizens 55 years of age and older to remain independent. Our Parks & Recreation Department also offers specific services.
Join us for our Cinco de Mayo celebration on May 5th. The program will begin at 12 PM. Please call in your reservations so that we can plan appropriately. See the flyer in this newsletter for more information.
"Breakfast Club” has returned! We'll be meeting at Maria's Coney Island on May 10th, 2023. We will meet at 10 AM. Please make plans to join us. (Resource The Center at The Dozier will open at 11:30 AM on Breakfast Club days).
CUP (Community Up Project) has an “adopt an elder” program that provides snow removal and grass cutting to seniors in our community. All you need to do is call our office at 313-561-2382 and ask to be added to the list. Please understand that they are volunteers and will do their best to take care of everyone. All we ask is that you be patient and understanding of this.
