A Special Meeting of the Council of the City of Inkster, Wayne County, Michigan to be held at 10:00am on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 26215 Trowbridge, Council Chambers.
1. City Manager candidate interviews.
2. Any other business may be discussed, if a full complement of Council is in attendance.
CLOSED SESSION
Council may enter into Closed Session to discuss contract negotiations, purchase or lease of real property and/or pending litigation in accordance with MCL 15.268 (a), (c), (d), and/or (e).

In compliance with federal guidelines,
the City of Inkster approved final projects and funding levels
for Inkster’s allocation of the 2012 – 2013 Wayne County CDBG
Program and HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) Program funding.

Inkster City Council Special Meetings Scheduled
In
accordance with the provisions of the City of Inkster Charter,
Chapter 7, Section 2, you are hereby notified of a Special
Meeting of the City of Inkster Council scheduled for the
following dates.
The above mentioned sessions are being scheduled at
6:00pm to discuss agenda items and the deficit elimination
plan. They will be held in Council Chambers, located at 26215
Trowbridge.

Middlebelt
Road Closure Starting October 3, 2011
Middlebelt Road is scheduled for construction starting
October 3, 2011 thru March 15, 2012. The closure will
be between Cherry Hill and
Michigan Avene. One lane in each direction will remain open for
traffic during construction. Your patience is appreciated.

As part of State of Michigan new municipal finance requirements,
the City of Inkster is now providing two documents to the local
community; a
Citizen's Guide - which summarizes key financial
trends broken down in several areas to show the City's current
fiscal health, and a
Dashboard - which displays several
measurements that provides a view of the overall quality of life
trend in the community. Click on the above links to see the

City Owned Property for Sale
The city is offering tax
foreclosed property (houses) for sale. The property listing
includes pictures, property identification number, a brief
description and pricing. Property is sold as is¯. All sales are
approved by city council. Property visits require an appointment
and completion of notarized liability waiver.

Neighborhood
Stabilization Program (NSP)
The City of Inkster is proud to
announce the receipt of $730,000 in grant funding from Wayne
County through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development. These funds will be used to demolish blighted
structures throughout the city.

Bank Settlement Agreement
Citizens Bank has entered into a partnership with the City of
Detroit to provide grants to homeowners to enhance the stability
and revitalization of neighborhoods to be identified by the City
and the bank.

Sidewalk
Repair Program - Currently Accepting Applications
There is over 90 miles of major and
local streets in the City of Inkster. The City is responsible
for the maintenance of sidewalk damage caused by vehicle
accidents, water main breaks and tree influence. Normal wear and
tear or age damage is the responsibility of the homeowner, agent
or occupant.
