Wayne County Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) And Wayne County HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME)

In compliance with federal guidelines, the City of Inkster approved final projects and funding levels for Inkster’s allocation of the 2012 – 2013 Wayne County CDBG Program and HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) Program funding as follows:

Activity Location Funding Program
Bond Repayment for Relocation, Acquisition And Project Administration Within Carver Homes Subdivision (Irene on the East, Northland on the West, York on the South and Carlysle on the North) $242,000 CDBG
Administration City-Wide $ 28,000 CDBG
Demolition City-Wide $  3,132 CDBG
Code Enforcement City-Wide $ 15,000 CDBG
Housing Rehabilitation City-Wide $ 26,663 Home
  Total Estimated CDBG Allocation $288,132
Total Estimated HOME Allocation $ 26,663
  Total Estimated Request $314,795

The estimated amounts reflect the 2011 – 2012 allocation. The 2012 – 2013 funding levels may be reduced as a result of new census data and an overall reduction in federal grant funds.

The above activities meet HUD’s National Objectives by benefiting low and moderate income persons and aiding in the prevention or elimination of slums or blight. To submit comments, please contact M. Jeannie Fields at (313)563-7709 or jfields@cityofinkster.com.
