Director of Department of Planning, Economic, and Community Development, Patrick Depa The City of Inkster has witnessed a boom in new residential and commercial development. In order to maintain and increase the City’s development momentum, our department is committed to providing courteous and responsive customer service to our old and new residents, business owners, developers, and internal city departments. Planning Department
Site Plan Review Process, Land Use and Zoning information, Sell of City-owned land. We also serve as the staff for the Planning Commission and the Board of Zoning and Housing Appeals.
Economic Development
Resource Center for businesses in the local area.
Community Development
Resource Center for Housing Rehabilitation, Homeownership Assistance, and the Property Improvement Program.

The Planning, Economic and Community Development Department is not alone in the revitalization and the creation of Inkster’s neighborhoods, retail areas, and a viable downtown. Our partners include: the Inkster Downtown Development Authority (DDA) and the Tax Increment Finance Authority (TIFA).
