THE DO’S AND DON’T’S

-Do report any damaged fire hydrants

-Do keep fire hydrants free of snow

-Do report any missing caps

-Don’t block fire hydrants with vehicles or pleasure craft

-Don’t cover fire hydrants with snow while shoveling

-Don’t personalize fire hydrants (paint or decorate)

COMMUNITY SNOW SHOVELING TIPS

LET’S BE HEART SMART

-Wear proper clothing, layer your clothing for those cold days

-Take multiple breaks when shoveling

-Beware of wet heavy snow, if you have a heart condition don’t shovel

-Remember, pushing a snow blower can have the same effect as shoveling
