Election Commission Minutes

Chairman Patrick Wimberly called the Election Commission Meeting of June 6, 2010 to order at 8:58 p.m. The City Council members met as the Election Commission as prescribed in Chapter 4, Section 6 of the City of Inkster Charter.

NEW BUSINESS

09-07-184E Motion by HamptonCanty Seconded by Crump

Authorize the City Clerk to conduct the August 3, 2010 Primary Election.

09-07-185E Motion by Hendricks Seconded by Crump

Authorize the City Clerk to administer mandated tests on the voting equipment (19 M100 Tabulators and 14 AutoMark Units) and schedule the public accuracy test.

Authorize funds to conduct the Primary Election on August 3, 2010.

Authorize the City Clerk to hire/request additional staff and election workers to assist with the Primary Election.

Allow the City Clerk to utilize a receiving Board to verify election results.

There being no further business to come before the Election Commission, on motion duly made by Owens, seconded by Crump, the Election Commission meeting of July 6, 2010 was adjourned at 9:07 p.m.
