Special Council Meeting
March 4, 2011

The Special Meeting of the Council of the City of Inkster, Wayne County, Michigan, convened in the Council Chambers, 26215 Trowbridge, on Friday, March 4, 2011.
Call Meeting to Order
Councilman Marcus Hendricks called the meeting to order at 6:29 p.m.
Roll Call
Honorable Council Present: Michael Canty, Henry Crump, Marcus Hendricks, Courtney Owens, Timothy Williams,
Honorable Council Not Present: Patrick Wimberly, Mayor Hampton
Carl Brooks provided council with information regarding the committee and SLC representative, John Trainer.
Anthony White: indicated smart meters were an invasion of privacy.
John Trainer specified years in business and introduced Rich Gardner.
Discussion regarding several aspects of the meters and capabilities of flagging discrepancies of individual water usage, monitoring, reports and billing.
Jessie Shelby concerned with possible increased consumption.
Sandra Watley concerned with increased water rates.
Peter Dobrzeniecki, Treasurer/Controller explained how the water rates are calculated and will provide additional information at budget time.
There being no further business to come before Council, on motion duly made by Councilman Owens seconded by Councilman Canty and carried, the Special Council Meeting of March 4, 2011 was adjourned at 8:54 PM.
