Devices.
- Discussion/Action: William Lawrence - Approve Tentative Agreement
with AFSCME Local 290.
- Discussion/Action: Hilton Napoleon, Deputy Police Chief - Purchase
the Eyeball Camera Observation Kit for the Inkster Police S.R.T. To be
paid for out of the JAG Grant Account 101-305-977-100.
- Discussion/Action: Ron Wolkowicz, Parks and Recreation Director - To
request approval from the Wayne County Department of Public Service to
close Inkster Road From Michigan Avenue to Avondale on Saturday, July
9,2011 at 12:00 a.m. to Monday, July 11,2011 at 2:00 a.m., and delegate
the Parks and Recreation. Director as authorized to sign Road Closure
Permit on behalf of the City of Inkster, to conduct a 2 day festival.
- Discussion/Action: Ron Wolkowicz, Parks and Recreation Director -
That the Mayor and City Council approve hosting the Annual Summer Music
Fest event scheduled in the City of Inkster, July 9 - 10, 20 II, to
commit the resources, equipment and insurance necessary, authorize the
solicitation of funds to defray associated costs, and the permission for
expenditure of funds by the Summer Music Fest committee necessary to
conduct the event.
- Discussion/Action: Mark D. Lloyd, Director of Planning, Building,
and Economic Development - Approval to accept all tax foreclosed
properties from the Wayne County Treasurer being transferred to the City
prior to December 31, 2010.
- Discussion/Action: Mark D. Lloyd, Director of Planning, Building,
and Economic Development - Consider extending the existing moratorium on
zoning and business license applications for establishment of clubs,
assemblies and other social, professional and service oriented
organizations for one hundred eighty (180) days to allow staff to
conduct research of these establishments, including but not limited to,
process, land use, public safety and possible amendments to the City's
Zoning Code and Code of Ordinances.
- Discussion/Action: Mark D. Lloyd, Director of Planning, Building,
and Economic Development - Direct staff to continue making grant
applications for all phases of the Inkster Greenways Project to both the
Michigan Department of Natural Resources Trust Fund and the Michigan
Department of Transportation.
- Discussion/Action: Mark D. Lloyd, Director of Planning, Building,
and Economic Development - Direct staff to submit a permit application
and plans to MOOT for acceptable Michigan Avenue and John Daly
improvements. Accept striping improvements within John Daly city
right-of-way contingent upon MOOT approval.
- Discussion/Action: Carl Brooks, DPS Director - Consider accepting a
cost estimate from DTE Energy for the installation of two street lights
in Wellington Park at a cost $2,815.00. Funds from Account
#101-443-740.000.
- Discussion/Action: Carl Brooks, DPS Director - Consider accepting
quote from Signature Ford in the amount of $67,572.00 to purchase a 20II
Ford E-450 Van w/Great Lakes Body and Custom Upfit. Funds from Account
#661-000-142-000.
