Discussion/Action: Resolution backing charitable gaming at the Flight Club, 29709 Michigan Avenue.

Discussion/Action: Inkster Library Commission – Consider reducing the Inkster Library’s summer operating hours from 39 hours/week to 32 hours/week. The new summer hours for the library will be Monday-Thursday from noon – 8pm and closed on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Discussion/Action: Fred Hill, Risk Manager – Authorize the Administration to solicit bids for all city insurance program administered by the Risk Management department which include the property, casualty, worker’s compensation, boiler/machinery and excess programs. Funds from account 101.000.270.910 and 101.000.270.720.

Discussion/Action: Fire Chief Mark Hubanks – Consider awarding contract in an amount not to exceed $93,500 to the lowest bidder FreeTown Construction Co. to remove and replace the driveway in front of the Fire Stations. Funds from account 401.337.974.000 (capitol improvements).

Discussion/Action: Fire Chief Mark Hubanks – Authorize the fire administration to accept the FEMA firefighter grant in the amount of $78,750.00. The funds will be placed in account 337.974 (capitol improvements).

Discussion/Action: Kimberly Faison, Interim Planning Director – Consider the receipt and filing of the 2009 annual report of the Downtown Development Authority.

Discussion/Action: Kimberly Faison, Interim Planning Director – Consider issuing a moratorium on zoning applications for Medical Marijuana establishments for ninety days to allow the Administration to conduct research of these establishments including but not limited to land use implications, public safety implications and any necessary amendments to the city’s zoning codes and codes of ordinance.

Discussion/Action: Ann K. Capela, City Manager – Authorize the administration to retain Adkison, Need & Allen, PLLC to assist drafting millage language and associated legal services for Leanne Hicks Public Library for placement on the August 2010 ballot.
