Chairman Patrick Wimberly called the Election Commission Meeting of September 21, 2009 to order at 10:01 p.m. The City Council members met as the Election Commission per Chapter 4, Section 6 of the City of Inkster Charter. Present on Roll Call: Chairman Patrick Wimberly. Commissioners Michael Canty, Michael Greene, Hilliard L. Hampton II, Marcus Hendricks, Courtney Owens, Timothy Williams NEW BUSINESS 09-09-254E Motion by Hendricks Seconded by Greene Authorize the City Clerk to conduct the November 3, 2009 special election. 09-09-255E Motion by Canty Seconded by Owens Authorize the City Clerk to administer mandated tests on the voting equipment (35 units) and schedule the public accuracy test. 09-09-256E Motion by Canty Seconded by Greene Authorize funds to conduct the November 3, 2009 special election. 09-09-257E Motion by Hendricks Seconded by Greene Authorize the City Clerk to hire/request additional staff and election workers to assist with the November 3, 2009 special election. 09-09-2581E Motion by Williams Seconded by Greene Allow Clerk to utilize a receiving Board to verify election results on November 3, 2009. There being no further business to come before the Election Commission, on motion duly made by Williams, seconded by Greene, the Election Commission meeting of September 21, 2009 was adjourned at 10:06 p.m.
