City Council MinutesCity of Inkster, Michigan Corrected Copy CALL MEETING TO ORDER The Special Meeting of the Council of the City of Inkster, Wayne County, Michigan, assembled in Council Chambers, 26215 Trowbridge, Inkster, MI 48141 at 5:00 pm ROLL CALL Honorable Council Present: Greene, Hendricks, Owens, Williams, Mayor Hampton Honorable Council Excused: Canty, Wimberly City Manager opened meeting with a brief background; brought Reid Charles into council chambers. Council discussed an offer presented to Mr. Charles for interim city manager. A contract drawn up by the city attorney was approved. Moved by Owens, seconded by Hendricks to go into closed session to discuss personnel at 5:14 pm. Moved by Owens, seconded by Hendricks to end closed session at 5:15 pm 08-10-280S RESOLVED by Owens, seconded by Hendricks to offer conditional employment to Reid Charles for the position of interim city manager, subject to a background check, effective October 27, 2008. Unanimously adopted. MOTION CARRIED Council discussed the city clerk’s evaluation. It was decided not to conduct the review because not all council members were present and council present did not have necessary salary and evaluation paperwork. Clerk’s evaluation will be considered at the next council meeting. There being no further business to come before Council, on motion duly made by Owens, seconded by Hendricks and carried, the Special Council Meeting of October 22, 2008 is adjourned at 5:30 p.m. Velida Gutierrez-Smith, Inkster City Clerk ATTEST: Hilliard L.
