Special Council Meeting
October 13, 2008

CALL MEETING TO ORDER

The Special Meeting of the Council of the City of Inkster, Wayne County, Michigan, assembled in Council Chambers, 26215 Trowbridge, Inkster, MI 48141 at 7:10 pm

ROLL CALL

Honorable Council Present: Canty, Greene, Hendricks, Owens, Williams, Wimberly, Mayor Hampton

TIFA Board Members: Walker, Jordan, Simmons, Oden, Leonard, Starghill, Owens

Mayor and City Manager opened the meeting with the reason for meeting, challenges, accomplishments, vision, projects, future, efforts, and opportunities. Funding issues, incentives, plans discussed. Al Bogdan of AAB Development Strategies, LLC addressed Michigan Avenue redevelopment and value of the Motel area. TIFA would be the funding source. Patrick Depa explained the need of Council support, Brownfield cap on state taxes and the future municipal campus. Clarence Oden discussed the Roseau site. TIFA discussed financial plan and made a motion to transfer funds toward the acquisition of land and motel consortium within the TIFA district.

08-10-267S RESOLVED by Owens, seconded by Greene to proceed with land acquisition of property, within the TIFA district, across the street from 26215 Trowbridge (Inkster City Hall), Inkster, Michigan. Unanimously adopted. MOTION CARRIED

There being no further business to come before Council, on motion duly made by Owens, seconded by Wimberly and carried, the Special Council Meeting of October 13, 2008 is adjourned at 9:49 p.m.
