Special Council Meeting
August 13, 2008

CALL MEETING TO ORDER

The Special Meeting of the Council of the City of Inkster, Wayne County, Michigan, assembled in Council Chambers, 26215 Trowbridge, Inkster, MI 48141 at 6:02 pm

ROLL CALL

Honorable Council Present:  Canty, Greene, Owens (arrived at 6:05 p.m.) Hendricks, Williams, Wimberly, Mayor Hampton

Moved by Canty, seconded by Wimberly to go into executive closed session at 6:03 p.m. to discuss personnel.

Moved by Wimberly, seconded by Owens to return to open session at 6:19 p.m.

08-08-213         Moved by Canty, seconded by Owens to extend the resignation of Joyce A. Parker, City                          Manager for 60 days with full benefits, to assist with the transition of new city manager.                           MOTION CARRIED. Unanimously adopted.

Patrick Depa led discussion regarding Haddon Estates, A Planned Unit Development proposal, rezoning, conditions, NEZ, future developments and options. A development agreement would have to be created and brick ordinance will be presented to the Planning Commission for changes. City Manager will provide Council with plan recommendations.

08-08-214         Moved by Canty, seconded by Wimberly to approve the P.U.D. (Planned Unit Development) and Site Plan for as recommended by Patrick Depa, Planning and Development Director.

A Public Hearing will be scheduled. Process will be expedited.

Invoice from the City of Romulus regarding legal services provided by Hogan and Hartson and TransSystems invoice for airport consultant services. Mayor will provide copy of final agreement.

08-08-215         Moved by Hendricks, seconded by Owens to approve an invoice in the amount of $1,344.94, payable to the City of Romulus for legal services provided by Hogan and Hartson and TransSystems invoice for airport consultant services. Funds from contingency account.

There being no further business to come before Council, on motion duly made by Hendricks, seconded by Canty and carried, the Special Council Meeting of August 13, 2008 is adjourned at 7:39 p.m.
