City Council MinutesCity of Inkster, Michigan CALL MEETING TO ORDER The Special Meeting of the Council of the City of Inkster, Wayne County, Michigan, assembled in Council Chambers, 26215 Trowbridge, Inkster, MI 48141 at 6:21 pm ROLL CALL Honorable Council Present: Canty, Greene, Owens, Hendricks, Williams, Wimberly, Mayor Hampton All Department Heads in attendance AGENDA City Manager opened the meeting requesting a closed session regarding personnel and gave a budget overview of the balanced budget provided to Council for approval. Council reviewed the budget and discussed several aspects for clarification regarding parks, CSO project, on site inspections, JAG grant, Brownfield/Carver Homes, Stratford Place, debris clean up, salaries, pension reduction. Council requested employee salaries, all sources of income for city attorney and total amount spent on all attorney fees in addition to the city attorney. Questioned City Clerks election budget, clerk should take another look at it and perhaps make adjustments. City Manager stated the budget had to be approved by the 2nd week in May, according to the Charter. Council entered into Executive Session. Moved by Canty, seconded by Williams, for Council to convene in closed executive session at 8:57 p.m. to discuss personnel in accordance with MCL 15.268. Present: Canty, Greene, Hendricks, Owens, Williams, Wimberly, Mayor Hampton Moved by Greene, seconded by Wimberly, return to open session at 10:18 pm. A second budget meeting is scheduled for Friday, May 2, 2008 at 5:30 p.m. There being no further business to come before Council, on motion duly made by Wimberly, seconded by Owens and carried, the Special Council Meeting of April 28, 2008 is adjourned at 10:19 p.m. Velida Gutierrez-Smith, Inkster City Clerk ATTEST Hilliard L.
