Election Commission Meeting
September 4, 2007

 

Chairperson Ernest Hendricks called the Election Commission Meeting of September 4, 2007 to order at 8:34 p.m. The City Council members met as the Election Commission as prescribed in Chapter 4, Section 6 of the City of Inkster Charter.

Present on Roll Call: Chairperson Ernest Hendricks. Commissioners Michael Canty, DeArtriss Coleman-Richardson, Marcus Hendricks, Ronald Johnson, Hilliard L. Hampton II

Not Present: Commissioner Wanda Harris-Foster

NEW BUSINESS

07-09-255E       RESOLVED by Coleman-Richardson, seconded by Canty to authorize the City Clerk to conduct a General Election to be held November 6, 2007 in the City of Inkster. MOTION CARRIED.

07-09-256E       RESOLVED by Hampton, seconded by M. Hendricks to authorize funds to conduct a General Election at an approximate cost of $21,000.00. Inclusive of other reasonable costs, which may occur. MOTION CARRIED.

07-09-257E.      RESOLVED by Coleman-Richardson, seconded by M. Hendricks to authorize the City Clerk the City Clerk to hire/request additional staff and election workers to assist with the General Election MOTION CARRIED

There being no further business to come before the Election Commission, on motion duly made by Coleman-Richardson, seconded by M. Hendricks, the Election Commission meeting of September 4, 2007 was adjourned at 8:36 p.m.
