PUBLIC PARTICIPATION – Citizens wanting to address the Council can do so at this time. Persons addressing Council are requested to completely fill out the attached form and give it to the City Clerk. For the record, please state name and address when called upon by the Chair to speak.

A.    CONSENT AGENDA

        A-1.      Consider approval of the Police and Fire Pension Retirement System in the amount of $138,555.51 to be paid on October 31, 2007 for the month of October 2007.

        A-2.      Consider authorizing payment to SEMCOG for 4th Quarter membership dues in the amount of $945.00. Funds were budgeted in 101-100-958-000.

        A-3.      Consider payment of $11,627.50 to Milton Spokojny, City Attorney for September services.

G.    NEW BUSINESS                                                                                                                       

        G-1.      Approve the City of Inkster Employee Handbook. Printing cost approximately $400.00. Funds from account 941-900 (non departmental)

        G-2.      Consider approving request to host the 38th annual Memorial Day parade on Monday, May 26, 2008, between the hours of 12 noon and 3:00 p.m. and support efforts of the Memorial Day Parade Committee to raise necessary funding to defray costs associated with the event and commit the manpower, equipment and insurance by the city necessary to conduct the event.

        G-3.      Consider allowing Memorial Day Parade Committee to request approval from the Wayne County Department of Public Service to close Inkster Road from Cherry Hill Road to South River Park Drive on Monday, May 26, 2008, between the hours of 12 noon to 3:00 p.m. and delegate the Parks and Recreation Director as authorized to sign road closure permit on behalf of the City of Inkster.

       

 

 

 

        G-4.      Consider authorizing an additional cost of $430.00 to Webster’s Collision to complete repairs on unit #07324, Ford Crown Victoria. Funds budgeted from account #554-934 (equipment damage repair).

        G-5.      Consider rescinding Resolution 07-07-220 (award contract to Ric-Man Construction Inc. for the construction of CSO control facility shaft project L-46 &009.

        G-6.      Consider rejecting the bids received and opened at City Hall on July 23, 2007 for the construction of CSO Phase II Western outfall facility shaft project.

        G-7       Consider approving payment of invoice 238390 in the amount of $6,468.00 received from Wayne County Dept. of Environment as annual membership fee of Assembly of the Rouge Communities (ARC). Funds from account #565-801 (utility account, professional/consultants).

        G-8       Consider payment of $6,205.00 to Mike Jones Enterprises for services rendered (boarding up homes). Funds from account 306.740 (operating supplies).

        G-9.      Consider approval of Proposal submitted by Rehmann, Robson CPA to provide services and technical guidance, through site visits and written reports, testing and other discovery methods of the Courts internal controls system for financial reporting in the amount of $7,800. Funds from account #101-253.801.000 (professional consultants).

H.    CLOSED SESSION

Council may enter into Closed Session to discuss contract negotiations, purchase or lease of real property and/or pending litigation in accordance with MCL 15.268 (a), (c), (d), and/or (e).

    H-1      Pending litigation in accordance with MCL 15.268 (e).
