A.    CONSENT AGENDA

        A-1       Consider approving minutes from the special council meeting of June 13, 2007.

        A-2.      Consider approving minutes from the regular council meeting of June 18, 2007.

        A-3.      Consider approving minutes from the Election Commission meeting of June 18, 2007.

        A-4.      Consider payment of 2008 annual dues to the National League of Cities in the amount of $3,012.00. Funds from account 101.100.958.000 (membership/subscription)

        A-5.      Consider payment of 2007/2008 budgeted transportation funds for the operation of the Nankin Transit Commission in the amount of $34,000.00. Funds from account 101.941.801.080.

        A-6.      Consider quarterly payment of $2,268.00 to Michigan Municipal League for 2007/2007 membership dues. Funds from account 101.100.958.000 (membership/subscription).

              D-1       SECOND READING: Amendment to Ordinance 99 authorizing the Inkster Housing Commission to act as a borrower for the purposes of issuing bonds or note in accordance with the provisions of Act 18 of the Public Acts of 1933, Extra Session, as amended.

G.    NEW BUSINESS                                                                                                                       

        G-1.         Consider authorizing DPS consent to have R&R Fire Truck Repair, Inc. repair the plumbing rotted tank fill line and aerial discharge for fire department vehicle #602, 1987 aerial ladder truck including parts and labor for $2,850.00 plus a 15% contingency ($428.00) for a total of $3,278.00. Budgeted funds from account 554-933 (equipment maintenance).

        G-2.      Consider approving the Livernois Vehicle Development Application for Industrial Facilities Tax Exemption Certificate (see resolution and attached application).

        G-3.      Authorization to add the new Finance Director/Controller, Charles Stanhouse, to the depository card as an authorized signer on behalf of the City of Inkster and to have the name of the former Finance/Controller, Sophia Snow, removed.

        G-4.      To permit the administration to solicit proposals for an assessment of the feasibility of a Senior Citizen Center in the City of Inkster.

        G-5       Consider approving $13,350.00 for the removal of the concrete roadway base on Bridgeport Court as part of the Annapolis Pointe Infrastructure project.

        G-6.      Renewal of General Liability Insurance AIG companies – agent, Brownrigg Companies.

        G-7.      Renewal of Workers Compensation Insurance for two years with Accident Fund Insurance Company of America.

 

H.    CLOSED SESSION

Council may enter into Closed Session to discuss contract negotiations, purchase or lease of real property and/or pending litigation in accordance with MCL 15.268 (a), (c), (d), and/or (e).
