Regular Council Meeting
January 10, 2007

CALL MEETING TO ORDER

The Special Meeting of the Council of the City of Inkster, Wayne County, Michigan, assembled in the Meeting Lounge Room of the Booker T. Dozier Recreation Complex, 2025 Middlebelt, Inkster Michigan at 6:30 p.m.

ROLL CALL

Honorable Council Present:  Michael Canty, DeArtriss Coleman-Richardson, Wanda Harris-Foster, Ernest Hendricks, Marcus Hendricks, Ronald Johnson, Mayor Hilliard L. Hampton II

The purpose of the special meeting is to discuss the Audit for Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2006 as presented by Alan C. Young & Associates, P.C.

The presentation began with Mr. Young introducing his associates: Anil Sakhuja, James Wilde and Rojeem Shah.

Mr. Wilde began with a PowerPoint presentation explaining an increase of 9% in revenue with a ½% increase in expenses. A duplication of the presentation was given to Council for visualization.

Mayor Hampton questioned bad debt. Details will follow.

A physical inventory needs to be performed to avoid purchasing items already in stock. Bank reconciliation needs to be made a priority. Management letter and GASB information will be provided.

E. Hendricks asked if the Court was audited. It was not part of commitment and would have to be done separately. The State audit of the court is not detailed.  An opinon is needed from Council on procedure of auditing court. Request a copy of an audit from court if there is one available.

 07-01-001.      RESOLVED by M. Hendricks, seconded by Canty to accept the Audit for Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2006 as presented by Alan C. Young & Associates, P.C on November 7, 2006. Unanimously adopted.

There being no further business to come before Council, on motion duly made by M. Hendricks, and seconded by Canty and carried, the Special Council Meeting of January 10, 2007 be adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
