Special Council Meeting
October 18, 2006

CALL MEETING TO ORDER

The Special Meeting of the Council of the City of Inkster, Wayne County, Michigan, assembled in the Meeting Lounge Room of the Booker T. Dozier Recreation Complex, 2025 Middlebelt, Inkster Michigan at 6:30 p.m.

ROLL CALL

Honorable Council Present: Michael Canty, DeArtriss Coleman-Richardson, Wanda Harris-Foster, Ernest Hendricks, Marcus Hendricks, Ronald Johnson, Mayor Hilliard L. Hampton II

The purpose of the special meeting is to discuss the Administrative Hearings Bureau, Boards and Commissions, Inkster Summerfest, trash pickup and Consider accepting the Ford Municipal Finance Program Quotation forth the City of Inkster, MI-Bid 48831E – Municipal lease purchase of three vehicles for the Department of Public Service superintendents (3) for $11,922.15 over a five year period totaling $59,610.75 including interest plus a one time documentation fee of $350.00. Funds form account 554-977-100 (POL equipment).

Councilwoman Coleman-Richardson asked about the funds set aside for the Administrative Hearings Bureau and the resolution enacting it.

City Manager stated it was discussed during the budget hearings and Council authorized $70,000 to use toward the Bureau and $35,000 for revenue. An ordinance was drafted but funds were not available in the budget. The city attorney stated funds would be needed in order to be able to move forward. The ordinance can now be adopted and staff will be needed for a January start up date.

Councilman E. Hendricks asked it be placed on the next agenda. Discussion arose regarding changes, space, duties, time frame.

06-10-278. RESOLVED by E. Hendricks, seconded by Harris-Foster to accept the Ford Municipal Finance Program Quotation forth the City of Inkster, MI-Bid 48831E – Municipal lease purchase of three vehicles for the Department of Public Service superintendents (3) for $11,922.15 over a five year period totaling $59,610.75 including interest plus a one time documentation fee of $350.00. There being no further business to come before Council, on motion duly made by Harris-Foster, and seconded by Coleman-Richardson and carried, the Special Council Meeting of October 18, 2006 be adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
