Providing quality services for residents and businesses in the City
of Inkster.
Strategic Policy Plan
Budget and Finance Committee:
Chairperson: Councilperson Michael A. Canty
Staff Liaison: Peter Dobrzniecki, City Treasurer / Controller
Strategic Objective: Identify options available to
support city operations and service delivery.
Development Review Committee:
Chairperson: Councilperson
Staff Liaison: Planning Director
Strategic Objectives:
A. Economic development strategy and policy
in increase tax base.
B. Coordinate efforts of the Downtown
Development Authority with other groups.
C. Clearly define goals for the Downtown Development
Authority and Tax Increment Finance Authority.
D. Explore the feasibility of a Downtown Business
Association.
E. Develop a business attraction and retention
program.
Image Committee:
Chairperson: Councilperson Marcus Hendricks
Staff Liaison: Ann K. Capela, City Manager
Strategic Objective: To further initiatives to promote a
more positive image of the Inkster community for people residing in the
city and those outside the city of Inkster.
Community Issues Committee:
Chairperson: Councilperson Timothy Williams
Staff Liaison: Ron Wolkowicz, Recreation Director
Strategic Objective: Address issues that affect the quality of
life in Inkster and directly impact those who are making a decision
regarding living or conducting business in the city.
Building Facilities Committee:
Chairperson: Councilperson Courtney J. Owens
Staff Liaison: Archer V. Collins, Director Public Services
Strategic Objective: Provide facilities for city operations of
a quality where the buildings are maintained, cleaned, operates
efficiently and presents a positive image of the organization and the
Inkster community at large.
Internal Issues Committee:
Chairperson: Councilperson Patrick A. Wimberly
Staff Liaison: William Lawrence, Human Resources/Labor Relations
Administrator
Strategic Objective: To address specific issues with the
organization that hinders efficiency within the organization and has a
negative impact on service delivery.
